New development by Lampton 360 and EcoWorld London set to deliver 176 new homes for key workers and lower income residents

The Leader of Hounslow Council, Cllr Shantanu Rajawat, Deputy Leader of Hounslow Council, Cllr Katherine Dunne and Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Development, Cllr Tom Bruce joined EcoWorld London and Lampton 360 to celebrate the start of construction of 176 new affordable homes for Hounslow at New Road Triangle in Feltham Town Centre.

Also in attendance was Cabinet Member for Housing Management and Homelessness, Cllr Sue Sampson, Cabinet Member for Adults and Health Integration, Cllr Samia Chaudhary and Muhammad Shakeel Akram ward Councillor for Feltham North.

New Road Triangle is the latest project as part of the partnership between EcoWorld London and Lampton 360 which has been delivering new homes and community facilities since 2017. Previous projects include Eden House in Hounslow Town Centre, Herings Hall Close in Brentford and Two Bridges in Feltham – a 24-hour supported accommodation for residents with learning disabilities and/or autism.

Set to complete in 2024, in addition to much-needed new housing for local people the development will extend the nature corridor of the adjoining River Longford and create a safe new link to the Glebelands playing fields. It will also increase biodiversity on-site by 50% via new landscaping including 43 new trees, native planting and green roofs and achieve a 70% carbon reduction on building regulations through the use of air source heat pumps, solar panels and energy efficient building materials.

Councillor Shantanu Rajawat, Leader of Hounslow Council, said:

“We are delighted to be celebrating the start of construction of these new homes for Hounslow residents. It’s vital that we continue to provide good quality housing, that families are proud to call home. Half of the new homes will be social rented, and the others will be let on low rents for key workers and those on low incomes.

“As a Council, we are achieving more through working in partnership and collaborating with our local communities and partners. The partnership between EcoWorld London and Lampton 360 has been important for Hounslow; creating new homes for local people and contribute to us tackling the housing crisis.”

Mike England, Lampton Group Managing Director, said:

“The Lampton D&I team are delighted to celebrate the start of construction at New Road Triangle. Having overcome the challenges of Covid-19 and supply chain issues brought about by Brexit, we’re thrilled to be delivering 176 homes of quality on behalf of Hounslow Council for the residents of Hounslow.”

Heng Leong Cheong, CEO of EcoWorld London, said:

“EcoWorld London is delighted to be celebrating this important milestone today and is proud to be a partner with Hounslow council and Lampton 360. We’re hugely committed to the long-term future of Hounslow, having delivered over 800 homes in Hounslow over the past few years - including at Eden House, Two Bridges and Herings Hall Close as part of this partnership - and the new Brentford Community Stadium.

As we celebrate the start of construction at New Road Triangle, we look forward to delivering the fantastic project with our partners and continuing to work with the community and council to build the homes and facilities that Hounslow needs.”

Hounslow Council and its wholly owned subsidiary, Lampton Investment 360, have penned a deal to purchase all the new homes, half of which will be social rented homes and half of which will be for families. The remaining homes will be rented by Lampton Investment 360 to local key workers and people on low incomes.
