Eco World London Development Company Limited (“Eco World London”, ”we” or “us”) and any of its associated group companies are committed to protecting and respecting the privacy and security of your personal information. This policy describes how we collect and use personal information when you visit our website (regardless of where you visit it from) and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

It is important that you read this notice, together with any other privacy notice we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal information about you, so that you are aware of how and why we are using such information.
2. THE KIND OF INFORMATION WE HOLD ABOUT YOU
Personal data, or personal information, means any information from an individual from which that person can be identified, whether or directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that individual.
When you visit our website, we may collect from the following personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
- Contact information, such as your name, postal address, home telephone number, work telephone number, mobile phone number, and email address;
- Details of the development you are interested in, including minimum number of bedrooms and maximum budget;
- Technical and Usage Data – – information about how you use our website such as internet protocol (IP) address, cookies, mobile device ID, any login data, browsing history, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, click through rate etc, viewed pages with date and time stamp (log information), browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access our website. - Inferred Data – which is inferred or derived from the data we collect, for example inferences about your interests.
- Communications preferences, including details of how you heard about us. Further, where you have written a message we will record the text that you have written. We also collect details of your marketing preferences and whether you are happy to receive marketing communications from Eco World London and/or Eco World International Group via SMS or Email.
We do not knowingly process any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health or genetic and biometric data). Nor do we process any information about criminal convictions and offences.
3. HOW IS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED?
We collect personal information about you directly during our engagements. If you fail to provide certain information, for example contact information, we may not be able to contact you to respond to your enquiry – we will flag on our website when information is mandatory.
Sometimes we receive information indirectly, for example if you have completed a reservation form that is processed on our behalf by one of our appointment estate agents or introducers.
4. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING
We process the categories of information listed in section 2 above for the following purposes:
- to process your interest in our properties and to secure a reservation so you may complete a purchase;
- to enable you to download a brochure on one of our developments;
- to communicate with you – this includes where we manage our relationship with you; where we investigate and respond to complaints or enquiries;
- to maintain and optimise our website – this includes where we need to solve performance issues, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, system maintenance, support, reporting and hosting of data, to improve the availability of the website and to secure the website against fraud;
- to contact you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you and where we invite you to events or contact you through certain channels regarding Eco World London’s services, surveys, research studies, promotions and special events;
- to use your information collected from the website to personalise your repeat visits to our website;
- To enable you to partake in a promotion including: prize with purchase promotions (including giveaways, online, social media and app entries); loyalty and reward schemes; activity challenge; sweepstake, scratch-card and raffle style promotions (including instant wins and online, social media and app entries);
- for data analytical purposes in order to improve our products/services, marketing, customer relationships and experiences (this may be using aggregated information); and
- To satisfy our legal obligations and to defend and exercise our legal rights.
We will only use your personal data for the purposes above, unless we reasonably consider that we have another appropriate reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so.
Our legal basis for processing will be as follows:
- For the purpose of potentially entering into a contract with you – this applies to purpose A.
- For the legitimate interests pursued by Eco World London to conduct and manage our business to enable us to give you the best service, understand our website visitors and to ensure that we send relevant marketing communications to promote and grow our business. We only use this basis when we consider our interests are not overridden by your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms which require protection of personal data. This applies for purposes B, C, D, F and H.
- On the basis of your consent. This applies for purposes E and G.
- To comply with any applicable legal obligation. This applies for purpose I.
Automated Decision-Making
No decisions will be taken about you using automated means, and we will notify you in writing if this position changes.
5. DATA SHARING
We may share your data with third parties, including third-party service providers and our Associated Companies.
We require third parties to respect the security of your data and to treat it in accordance with the law.
We may transfer your personal information outside the UK, but if we do, we shall ensure that there are appropriate safeguards in place and you can expect a similar degree of protection in respect of your personal information.
Why might you share my personal information with third parties?
We may disclose personal information that we collect, or you provide:
- To comply with any applicable legal obligation, such as tax authorities, or if we suspect a breach of our terms of services;
- To contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them. This includes to managing agents that we appoint to manage our developments and IT vendors for them to support our business;
- In processing your reservation, we may send your details to and, also use information from fraud prevention agencies;
- To the owner of the property you are looking to or have rented or purchased on whose behalf we may manage and hold data;
- To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganisation, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information held among the assets will be transferred;
- For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information; or
- With your consent.
In these circumstances we will only pass on the minimum information necessary, and take appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal information is protected (including entering into confidentiality agreements).
When might you share my personal information with Associated Companies?
We will share your personal information with Associated Companies as part of our regular reporting activities on company performance, in the context of a business reorganisation or group restructuring exercise, for system maintenance support and hosting of data, for the provision of shared services.
“Associated Companies” refers to those companies belonging to the same family of companies as us and who benefit from a close relationship, shared systems and shared ownership which includes the entities detailed here: https://ecoworldinternational.com/about-us/corporate-structure/.
Transferring information outside the United Kingdom
We will transfer your personal information outside the UK where our third-party service providers and Associated Companies host data or process data outside the UK. If we do, we will ensure a similar degree of security of data by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is in place:
- It has officially been decided that the country has an “adequate” data protection system by the European Commission or Information Commissioner’s Office; or
- There are in place binding ‘Standard Contractual Clauses’ and we have verified, prior to the transfer of personal information, whether the required level of protection is respected in the country proposed to receive the personal information; or
- We have your consent.
In those cases you will have the right to ask us for more information about the safeguards we have put in place as mentioned above (e.g. to request a copy where the safeguard is documented, which may be redacted to ensure confidentiality).
6. DATA SECURITY
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal information to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal information on our instructions, and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality. All our third-party service providers and Associated Companies are required to take appropriate security measures to protect your personal information in line with our policies.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected data security breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected breach where we are legally required to do so.
7. DATA RETENTION
How long will you use my information for?
We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal requirements.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements. We will generally retain information in back-up for business continuity purposes for 6 years from the date of last contact with you. In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal information so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case we may use such information without further notice to you.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Inform us of changes
It is important that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal information changes during your relationship with us.
Your rights in connection with personal information
Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:

- Request correction of the personal information that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.

You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal information where you have exercised your right to object to processing (see below).
- Object to processing of your personal information where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal information for direct marketing purposes.
- Request the restriction of processing of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.
- Request the transfer of your personal information to another party.
- withdraw consent previously provided for the handling of the information, where we are relying on that consent to process your personal data (without affecting the lawfulness of prior use and disclosure of the information).

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request for access is clearly unfounded or excessive.
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access the information (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is another appropriate security measure to ensure that personal information is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g. the ICO in the UK) if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes applicable law. We’d ask that you try to resolve the matter with us first.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY NOTICE
We reserve the right to update this privacy notice at any time, and we will provide you with a new privacy policy when we make any substantial updates. We may also notify you in other ways from time to time about the processing of your personal information.
